Bronze Turkey
Bronze free range Turkeys, raised on herb rich diet.
£15.00 per kg
Free Range Herb Fed Turkey is prepared from the finest British free-range turkey, naturally fed on a herb-rich diet and sourced locally from trusted Yorkshire suppliers. This premium bird has beautiful flavour, succulent meat and a naturally golden skin. Ideal for a impressive roast with superior taste and texture. Hand-prepared fresh in our family shop.
Remove the turkey from the fridge 1–2 hours before cooking (depending on size) to bring it to room temperature.
Season well with salt, freshly ground black pepper and a little extra herbs if desired. Rub with oil or softened butter.
Recommended oven method (high-then-low for juicy results):
Preheat oven to 220°C / Fan 200°C / Gas 7.
Place the turkey in a roasting tin and roast for 20–25 minutes until the skin starts to turn golden.
Reduce the heat to 160°C / Fan 140°C / Gas 3.
Continue roasting for approximately 20–25 minutes per 500g (or follow weight-specific guidance), basting occasionally, until the juices run clear and the internal temperature in the thickest part reaches 62–65°C (it will rise to a safe 74°C while resting).
If the skin is browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
Rest the turkey loosely covered with foil for at least 20–30 minutes before carving.
Best enjoyed with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, stuffing, pigs in blankets and rich gravy.
